Why go ‘Green’?
We all make choices - and we can make a choice to help protect the environment, even just a little.
Improving energy management and, more broadly, carbon management are integral parts of the UK Government's climate change programme. We are all being encouraged, soon to be forced, to reduce our carbon footprint.
In a few short years, we are all likely to be paying carbon tax on every bit of energy we personally consume. Every car journey, hot bath and holiday will have a carbon cost. Use too much and you will be forced to buy more carbon credit.
Although this may seem intrusive, we are facing a huge problem.
Unchecked emissions, since the industrial revolution, are undoubtedly affecting our climate. The headlines and the news tell us we have a huge problem:

- "Has the planet reached a tipping point?"
- "G8 backslide on climate change!"
- "Help stop climate chaos!"
We can all do our bit!
Government policy and legislation will follow and in time we have to prepare as a nation to be more efficient and environmentally friendly.
Every little helps - low energy bulbs, insulation, paper and glass recycling, using public transport and alternative energy all make a difference.
But we also live in a busy world with busy lives and sometimes we have to consider our security perhaps more than we would like.
